SMD (Surface-Mount Device Resistor) is composed of a layer of thick film resistive material (such as carbon powder, metal oxide, metallic glass, etc.) coated on alumina (Al2O3) substrate. Because of its miniaturization, high temperature resistance, low cost, mature manufacturing process and convenient automatic mounting, SMD is widely used in mobile phones, tablet computers, televisions, stereos, industrial control systems and instruments and equipment. In automotive electronic systems, routers, switches, base stations and other communication equipment, medical devices and other equipment, the performance and reliability of electronic equipment can be effectively improved by selecting appropriate materials and specifications of patch resistors.
